Volunteer Opportunities
You can also find your own online volunteering but please make sure the organization is not promoting any religion, political party, etc. and you are not receiving money for your work. Below we have provided some examples of websites where you can find both online and in-person opportunities.

Orange County Food Bank
Task: Help volunteer by sorting food and pack meals for those in need. *Must create account beforehand* (in-person)

Charity Miles
Task: A simple walk, run, or hike can become a fundraiser. Every mile that you log will earn money for any chosen charity. (virtual)
Requirement: for every 10 miles you will receive 1 hour​

UNICEF Math Games
Task: You have one minute to complete as many math problems as you can. Each correct answer will amount to a $0.25 gift to UNICEF. (virtual)

Task: Remotely tutor low-income high school students. (virtual)

Task: VolunteerMatch is a nonprofit organization that focuses on helping out communities by making it easy to find volunteer opportunities. (in-person and virtual)

Smithsonian Digital Volunteers
Task: Support the Smithsonian by completing activities from the Smithsonian Transcription Center or Invader ID. (we will only accept hours for those 2) (virtual)
Requirements:​ Smithsonian Transcription Center - for every 20 pages transcribed AND reviewed you will receive 1 hour. Invader ID - for every 50 organisms identified you will receive 1 hour
Task: Free Rice is a free-to-play application where players can donate rice to unfortunate families through doing multiple-choice questions. (virtual)
Requirement: For every 1000 grains you will receive 1 hour
